Part One - The Great Store Takeover 2022
Every year, we invite staff, volunteers, board members, and community friends to "take-over" a store in our community for our largest shopping event of the year. This year, we took over wal-mart with over 30 people, spent over $15,500, and purchased 1,249 items for Akron Children's Hospital.
Part Two - The Great Castle Build 2022
After unbagging and sorting through 1,249 various items that our team purchased at Wal-mart for Akron Children's Hospital, we built a castle because that's the only thing that makes sense to us. Stay tuned for PART THREE - Delivery
Part Three - A Christmas Delivery to ACH
Delivery Day at Akron Children's Hospital. This delivery included 1,249 items from Wal-Mart, 305 stuffed animals from Keillor's A Teddy Bear Shoppe - Canal Fulton, Ohio from the Bear Drive and bulk-sourced items directly from manufacturer PlayMonster Fun, local vendor Sir Troy's Toy Kingdom, local vendor The Captivating Closet. Also included were various items collected from ten Starbucks across district 1985 Akron East. All in all, we sent 3,715 items to the hospital's doors.
The ACH child life specialists will choose items catered to each child's interests and wrap them in time for Santa to hand-deliver them for Christmas. It is our privilege to be able to do this year-round for organizations across Northeast Ohio. Thank you for your continued support which makes all of this possible!

BRAND NEW toy donations are always welcome beginning middle of October through the end of November. We stop accepting donations for our holiday drops December 5.

Any current 'hot' kids or marvel movie items are always at the top of the list. Other ideas include: Disney Princesses, Marvel Characters, Barbies / Accessories, Baby Shark, Paw Patrol, Coco Melon, Hot Wheels, Pokemon, Lego Sets, Hatchimals, Trains, Dinosaurs, Magnitiles, Craft sets, Board games, Card games, STEM kits, stacking toys, Sensory toys, play-doh, model magic, light-up toys/comfort items, Fisher Price Remotes
We cannot accept USED or UNBOXED/NON-TAGGED items. We cannot accept political or religious items.
We prefer stuffed animals through our BEAR DRIVE we run November-December. Donated stuffed animals can not be donated out to local hospitals as we do not know if it has come in contact with any potential allergens on it's journey to us. We can accept them if they are brand new, but they are limited to where we are able to send them.
Join us for an evening of BINGO! Believe it or not, the bulk of our funding comes through our state licensed bingo game! We play year-round every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evening at our location in Canton, OH.
